Hours before the actual launch, hordes of trve kvltists (myself included) keep F5’ing the Terratur homepage, just to be the first to order the full set of vinyl, CDs and merch of bands they didn’t even know existed before the Nidrosian cult label dug them from the deepest underground. There are no official statistics on how many of the ordered copies remain unlistened to until the end of time just to fill the record shelves and instagram profiles of scene narcissists like you and me, BUT: The reason for all this hysteria is the simple fact that Ole has an incorruptible feeling for authenticity and a nearly unmistakable ear for musical quality. WHOREDOM RIFE are one of his newest discoveries and what the Nidaros-based band presents on this beautifully packaged 12“ EP is nothing but pure Black Metal excellence. Very classic in composition and execution, WHOREDOM RIFE’s music carries the bitter, commanding essence of this genre in every note. WHOREDOM RIFE is the strange uplifting feeling you encounter when staring down the abyss of life’s futility, the sensation of supremacy in the face of decay. As mentioned, Terratur Possessions did an outstanding job with the design work as well so there’s literally no excuse for not owning this supreme piece of Black Metal art.
