Naðra - Allir vegir til glötunar (Fallen Empire)

Iceland. Grey skies. Grey swirl vinyl. Grey cover art. NAðRA’s debut album serves as a model for aesthetic coherence even before you’ve heard the first note. Needless to say these gentlemen from the seemingly inexhaustible Icelandic scene don’t disappoint on the musical side either. „Allir vegir oil glötulnar“ is majestic as a glacier while at the same time bursting from vitality and youthful energy. Pictures of vast, icy landscapes unfold before the mind’s eye as the band rages through five well thought-out compositions that breathe an unquenchable thirst for freedom from start to finish. There’s a raw beauty in NAðRA’s art that makes you listen to the record again and again and there’s a cold, but lofty light permeating every corner of the scene „Allir vegir…“ creates. Iceland did it again. Thank you, guys.
